The Community Wildfire Planning Center (CWPC) is expanding its wildfire land use planning trainings into Washington this November with two pilot trainings. These trainings are being offered in partnership with other agencies and organizations and were made possible by a grant through the Wildfire Strategies program of Resources Legacy Fund. These trainings will equip participants with a better understanding of wildfire and wildland-urban interface (WUI) concepts, land use planning tools, and state regulatory requirements. Trainings are designed for planners, fire officials, building officials, mitigation specialists, and others engaged in WUI-related development activities in Washington. Attendees will learn how to apply best practices and learn about resources and programs to support implementation. Click Here for more information and to register.
